Lavender Linen and Room Spray

Lavender Linen

 & Room Spray

There is something truly relaxing about lavenders sweet, soothing scent.

Lavender calms the environment and promotes a restful nights sleep.

    • Spray on your pillow at night
    • Spray into the air
    • Keep a bottle at work to reduce Monday morning stress

Made with Young Living's Therapeutic Lavender

Lavender has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it.

Lavender is an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy.

Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty.

It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations.

The French scientist René Gattefossé was among the first to discover these properties when he was severely burned in a laboratory explosion.

Creating Your Own Essential Oil Room Sprays

If you have your Essential Oils you can start making some

    All-Natural Room Sprays.

I love creating sprays because the list of options is endless! You can mix and match and create a variety of different scents.  If you're new to making sprays, we'll start with the basics.

Start with Purchasing Blue Bottles from Amazon. You always want to use glass bottles because the oils can deteriorate plastic. You also want to use dark colored bottles because it will protect your oils. Oils should always stored in dark glass bottles away from sunlight. I purchased these blue glass spray bottles and they worked great! Oils will clog some sprayers so it's important to have quality sprayers and bottles. So far, these sprayers have not clogged. If your sprayer does clog, simply run it under warm water.

Next, purchase distilled water (you can purchase this at any grocery store for less than $2.00 a gallon). You will also need a bottle of Vodka. The Vodka acts as the emulsifier so the water and oil mixes. Otherwise obviously water and oil do not mix. The smell of Vodka dissipates when you add in the Essential Oil(s).

    Essential Oil Room Spray Recipe

Pour 2oz of Distilled Water into a measuring cup
Add 2oz of Vodka into the same measuring cup
    Pour into a 4oz bottle
Add about 20 drops of the Essential Oil
You can mix oils to create different smells however you should have about 20-25 drops total in the bottle
    Shake well
Next, Label your Bottles. I purchased these great Avery labels from Amazon. The design studio was easy to use and they worked great in my ink-jet printer. The labels turned out beautiful and they add the perfect touch to your finished product.

My favorite is Lavender for relaxation. Spray some on your pillow at bedtime or keep a bottle at work and mist into the air after a stressful afternoon. Take some deep breaths and relax.
